The Kanakuk Kamps Story

Kanakuk Kamps began in 1926 with a group of boys from Texas trekking to the Ozarks for 8 weeks of building character and stamina alongside great christian role modals. Since then Kanakuk has grown into 7 kids kamps and K-Kauai Family Kamp. Along the way we have found that character and stamina are timeless, great Christian role modals are priceless and that boys, girls and families should share in the fun. Kanakuk promises to provide you with an "Exciting Adventure in Christian Athletics." We see you as family, growing with us as we strive to provide the best in Christin camping. We dream of your family making memories with us for years to come.

The Kanakuk Connection

Kanakuk Kamps began in 1926 and has grown into five youth Kamps, K-Kauai - Kanakuk Family Kamp, and many other ministry programs. Daily Bible study, quiet-times with God, and living a Four-square life (Luke 2:52) have been cornerstones of every moment at Kamp. Year-round bible devotion programs for our Kampers, blogs, and daily social media content, have been a part of our work to encourage people to engage God's Word for their spiritual growth.

Today's Fuel is an outgrowth of that work. The presidents of Kanakuk Ministries, Joe White and his wife Debbie Jo, have made bible study, memorization, and teaching a part of their ministry and their lives as an example to all who come through the Kanakuk "gates." Summer camp is a great environment, away from all the distractions of the world, to establish daily quiet-time habits and to see it modeled by peers and leaders. Our hope is that Kanakuk Ministries participants and anyone who needs a daily dose of "fuel" can find year-round encouragement through this website.
